Adult ADHD, Relationships & Emotional Health Group
This cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) group is designed for adults with ADHD who want to better understand how ADHD affects their daily life, relationships, work, and emotional well-being. While difficulties with attention, organization, impulsivity, and time management are central topics, many participants also struggle with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or recurring relationship problems. These challenges are addressed as an integrated part of the therapy.
The group combines evidence-based CBT techniques with practical strategies that can be applied in everyday life. Participants learn skills for improving organization, planning, emotional regulation, stress management, and communication. Together, we explore how ADHD influences thinking, emotions, and interpersonal relationships, and we develop personalized strategies to manage these challenges more effectively.
Special attention is given to the emotional consequences of living with ADHD. Many adults have experienced repeated criticism, misunderstandings, or feelings of failure, which can contribute to anxiety, depression, shame, or reduced self-confidence. Relationship difficulties—including conflicts with partners, family members, friends, or colleagues—are also common and are explored within the group in a supportive and constructive way.
Group therapy offers a unique opportunity to learn not only from the therapist but also from other participants with similar experiences. Sharing experiences, receiving honest feedback, and practicing new ways of communicating can help reduce feelings of isolation while increasing confidence, resilience, and self-acceptance.
The goal of the group is to help participants better understand their ADHD, strengthen their personal resources, improve relationships, and develop practical skills for a more balanced and fulfilling life.
